Q: What if I have a rush ?

A: If you have a rush case, you must pre-schedule it by calling us at 1-360-621-0833 before the case is shipped or picked up. In some instances, an additional fee may be added to rush cases.

Q: What is the timeline for a case?

A: Standard turnaround time for digital restorations is 5-6 business days in lab; day of pick up is not included in standard turnaround time. For all other products, 10-12 business days in lab is standard.

Q: What is the timeline for small adjustments such as contact additions?

A: Our Lab is equipped to manage small adjustments in-house. The turnaround time is 2 to 3 business days.

Q: What is your remake policy?

A: We do not charge for remakes UNLESS…

   (1) the remake results from an unsatisfactory impression and there have been more than three previous remakes in the past 30 days.
In that case, there will be a 50 percent charge for the remake.
There will be no charge for less than 3 remakes from a faulty impression in one month’s time.

    (2) the remake is required because the impression is bad, but you asked for the lab to attempt it. A full charge for a remake in that case would apply.

     (3) If a shade cannot be achieved without a remake, a shade change case will be charged a 50 percent remake fee .

A.  If any product or remake is the fault of KDL Lab, or the crown does not show up on time, we will do the remake at no charge to you, AND there will be no charge for the original product.*  Our service in that case is free. We stand behind our commitment to quality and delivery.

* – If more time has been requested by the Lab at least 24 hours in advance, this policy will not apply.

Q: Are doctors still prescribing PFM’s?

A: There have been rumors that the PFM (porcelain fused to metal) is dead. It is true that the number of PFMs prescribed has dropped and some labs have stopped offering them due to labor costs. But the fact is, the PFM is still a reliable, predictable restoration, especially when:

° Retention is needed; the fits are great.

° Dark dentin needing to be blocked out.

°  The biocompatibility of a highly polished knife edge collar can’t be beat, especially on deep subgingival margins.

So, yes, the PFM is alive and well and continues to be prescribed. The same goes with Full Gold Crowns.

Q: What are your payment terms?

A: Terms are net 30 days in accordance with the statement date. Past due accounts are subject to a 1.5% interest rate.
